About Shipping Charges:
With few exceptions, we ship with U. S. Postal Service.
However, because of the shape and dimensions of items vary, we can’t calculate in advance an exact shipping charge. The total seen at checkout time is the MAXIMUM you will be charged. It may be adjusted downward if we find we can ship in a way that provides the same level of service at a lower rate. If the amount you have paid is less than the amount needed to ship by the best method, we pay the difference. You will nof pay any more than what you were charged at checkout. The Regional Priority Flat Rate service of the USPS is what we use for most domestic addresses. Often we will not be able to select the best shipping method until the order is pulled from inventory, weighed, and an appropriate box size is chosen. The mix of items in the order can affect the choice of shipping method, as well. In some cases the dimensions of the package will affect the rate.
The amount charged on your order is the most you will be charged. We always will try to select the lowest cost and best shipment method for your order. If we are able to ship for a lower cost than you were charged, we will refund any overpayment that amounts to more than $1.00.
If we get a discounted commercial rate, the savings are passed on to you. We do not try to make money on shipping and handling fees. We sell books and magazines- not postage.
About International Shipping Charges:
We are a bit limited in the choice of international shipping methods. Occasionally we find that we can use International Flat Rate Priority Mail to lower your shipping and handling costs.. When that is possible, the same policy is followed as in domestic shipping. If the package can be shipped for a lower amount than was charged at checkout, any amount of US$1.00 or more will be refunded to your credit card or PayPal account. As with domestic sales, the amount you are charged on checkout is the most you will pay. We adjust charges down, but not up.
