Trains are our business. We love trains of all types, but
you’ll notice that we tend to favor steam locomotives and narrow gauge trains
in our inventory. Browse through our selection and find the perfect books about
trains for collectors of all levels. If you don’t see what you need, ask us. We love to search for rare railroad books –
and we love passing these railroad gems along to you.
We frequently add new railroad books and railroad magazines
to our selection. Check back often for the latest issues of the Narrow
Gauge & Short Line Gazette, Railroad Model Craftsman, and other high quality railroad publications. When you’re looking
for railroad information to supplement your interest as a model railroad hobbyist
or railroad enthusiast, look first at Montage Worldwide.

On October 25, 2014, the domain name montage-worldwide.com was registered in the United Kingdom. That website is in no way connected with our company. There is much opportunity for confusion in the similarity of names, so we advise you to be cautious and be certain you have used www.montageww.com when you wish to order from us or contact us. We have no knowledge of who registered the site, but wonder about the intent and the motivation behind this choice of domain names.
Current issues of Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette (Sep/Oct 2015) and the Model Railroad Craftsman (November, 2015). Load up!
We’re Throwing In The Towel
on Garden Railways. We gave the magazine a fair trial, but sales haven’t justified the space, time and investment required. So, we’ve decided to discontinue stocking the magazine. We have reduced prices to help get them out the door. Garden Railways may not be the "right track" for you, but take a look at the Table of Contents of a few issues. You might find some articles that would interest and be useful to you, no matter which gauge you model in.

I want to compliment and thank you for your excellent service. The book and magazines arrived two days ago in mint condition. The magazines were even individually wrapped in clear plastic. And I just realized that you had combined both my orders for shipping even though I neglected to request that. It’s a real pleasure to see a business run so beautifully. Congratulations and, again, thank you. Jeffrey, California
Thanks so much! What great service! Steven, Des Plaines, IL
Just to say a big thank you for quickly expedited order...very happy. Steve, Norway

About Shipping Charges:
With few exceptions, we ship with U. S. Postal Service.
However, because of the shape and dimensions of items vary, we can’t calculate in advance an exact shipping charge. The total seen at checkout time is the MAXIMUM you will be charged. It may be adjusted downward if we find we can ship in a way that provides the same level of service at a lower rate. If the amount you have paid is less than the amount needed to ship by the best method, we pay the difference. You will not pay any more than what you were charged at checkout. The Regional Priority Flat Rate service of the USPS is what we use for most domestic addresses. Often we will not be able to select the best shipping method until the order is pulled from inventory, weighed, and an appropriate box size is chosen. The mix of items in the order can affect the choice of shipping method, as well. In some cases the dimensions of the package will affect the rate.
The amount charged on your order is the most you will be charged. We always will try to select the lowest cost and best shipment method for your order. If we are able to ship for a lower cost than you were charged, we will refund any overpayment that amounts to more than $1.00.
If we get a discounted commercial rate, the savings are passed on to you. We do not try to make money on shipping and handling fees. We sell books and magazines- not postage.
About International Shipping Charges:
We are a bit limited in the choice of international shipping methods. Occasionally we find that we can use International Flat Rate Priority Mail to lower your shipping and handling costs.. When that is possible, the same policy is followed as in domestic shipping. If the package can be shipped for a lower amount than was charged at checkout, any amount of US$1.00 or more will be refunded to your credit card or PayPal account. As with domestic sales, the amount you are charged on checkout is the most you will pay. We adjust charges down, but not up.
